Swale Rainbow Homes

Rainbow Homes (RH) is Swale Borough Council’s wholly owned private subsidiary housing company. Set up in 2020 with the aim of initially delivering residential schemes on three Sittingbourne town centre sites that’ll be the second biggest investment in the Borough in the last 50 years.

C&CC are managing and advising on all stages of works, from concept designs, to securing planning permissions, sourcing all project professionals and overseeing the build process through to the successful letting of the new high-quality homes.

The three central Sittingbourne schemes are at Cockleshell Walk, East Street and Fountain Street and are the first undertaken by Rainbow Homes. Their delivery will lead to the newly formed subsidiary delivering 185 new properties, each with a focus on being sustainable and affordable for local residents.

Following a full public procurement exercise C&CC were successfully chosen to deliver the schemes over a 4 year period providing a full Development service from RIBA stages 0 through to 7 acting as Lead Consultant/Project Director.
